Integrated Residential Information System (IRIS)
SPONSORED BY IMPERIAL OIL FOUNDATION
IRIS is an Internet Based Electronic Information System which facilitates timely and efficient matching and placement for children in need of residential care and treatment.
As an effective decision support system, it is designed to aid Children's Aid Workers, Central Point Access Groups, and Ministry Personnel in locating appropriate and available Residential Care and Treatment beds for Children in a timely and efficient process.
Information contained in the database is presented as supplied by member agencies.
This system is not designed to replace the role of a Resource Worker in pre-screening Programs / Facilities in which to place children, rather it is designed to assist the Resource Worker in obtaining information about available Programs / Facilities in a more timely fashion.
The Bed Availability Query Tool provides an up to date list of beds available in OARTY member agencies across the Province of Ontario. This listing is updated weekly on Tuesday. You can request information on Beds that are available immediately, or within 30, 60 and 90 days.
The Program Search Tool is designed to enable queries to the database for individual Programs which are listed as being able to meet the needs of certain client groups, including managing specific behaviours. Queries can also be designed to search for programs which provide specific services, or are located in a particular area of the province.
